Debris | 2019 | Installation, dimensions variable

“We don’t ask to be eternal beings, we only ask that things do not lose all their meaning.”

Antoine De Saint-Exupéry

Debris is a photography and video project focused on found, lost and discarded objects in otherworldly beachscapes.

Imagining a place which gathers all the lost property in the world, the project draws on inspiration from literature, mythology and psychology.

Presenting the treasures of human existence across generations in these magical landscapes, the artist raises questions about human affection and the desire for everlasting relations between people and those objects that make up our daily life.
